Ко се с' вуком качи, добије цео чопор!
Who mess with the Wolf, gets the whole Pack!
The wolf, in pagan cultures, represents the tribe. Those who are bound together by blood and fierceness. The Ulfhednar, the warrior who lives according to natural law. The protector of the pack, the hunter, the stalker. Wolves hunt with planned precision, stalking their prey, herding them to the right place and then executing the attack with ferocious speed. While this is what they are most noted for, there are other reasons to emulate them and to be proud if they are your fylgja. They are devoted to the survival of the pack. They have a very strict hierarchy where the alpha male and alpha female are the only ones allowed to produce off spring. The others work to support the pups and protect them. The loyalty of a wolf is deep. When they choose a human to walk with and protect, they are part of the pack. While they treat the human with kindness and respect and even at times playfulness; anyone that intends harm is their joint enemy and attacked. They are watchful of movement, expression and breathing. These are the tools for determining friend or foe. Majestic, strong, fast and at the same time loving, loyal, tender and caring. But never mistake: He who messes with the wolf, gets the whole pack!
