Original design, hand crafted, pyrography on wood, that has been sealed with Tung Oil to preserve its beauty.
Mounted on this beautiful piece of Red Mahogany is a jaw bone we found on our property. The bone has only been sun bleached and mildly cleaned to preserve it's age. The jaw bone is attached with sterling silver wire. Inscribed on the bone are the Algiz, The Sun Wheel and a Triskelion.
Algiz: Protection (antlers of deer, splayed hand) . Our recognition and relationship with the gods. Our search for higher consciousness.
The Solar Cross or Sun Wheel: Represents the sun and it's vital energy that gives life and fertility to the earth and to man. It represents health, light, peace and good fortune. The four quarters represent the solstices and seasons for planting, growing, harvesting and rest only to repeat again.
The triskelion represents, at it's most basic interpretation, earth, fire and water. It has come to represent life, death and rebirth; spirit, mind and body, and or in other words, man's journey through life.
The message: May there be protection on your path as you seek to grow in spirit, in prosperity and in peace as the wheel brings you through the cycles of this life.
