Clan's and tribes were recognized by their banners and crests or shields. Each clan or tribe ascribed a specific meaning to the design and were adherent to the meaning. It became the clan code of honor.
The center of this piece is the sword for it is by the strength of the sword that order, and peace is held.
The axe for the right hand is Wunjo for by it you can bind and marshal forces to do your will.
The axe for the left hand is Thurisaz which releases the fiery energy of the clan or tribe that has been marshaled together, organized and directed. Force and formation combined and directed into indominable strength.
On each axe is inscribed Tiwaz and Ingwaz as a reminder of the purpose of the clan or tribe. To measure out justice according to right and natural law, bringing order in the cosmos and among men; releasing the seed of transformation that was held in darkness and is released for new growth. A new and prosperous future.
